Are you bored with your own laptop and thinking of reinventing it but you don't have any idea how much it cost and how? It appears that two ex-Magic Leap staffers from Tel Aviv are behind the Spacetop—a $2,000 screen-free laptop that employs augmented reality (AR) glasses instead for a 100-inch display.

Sightful, the firm behind the potential product, is managed by Chief Executive Officer Tamir Berliner, who previously worked for an AR headset business.

As part of an early access program, the business is selling 1,000 devices to test the waters for a future larger rollout.

The Spacetop will be distinguished not just by its distinctive hardware but also by its customized operating system. Backers promote it as being capable of running software such as Figma, Google, or Zoom.

However, because the OS is still in its early stages, the business is not guaranteeing to create a system that will appeal to gamers or power users just yet—though a plan to potentially integrate such functionality is on the table as the OS matures.

While the laptop is aggressively advertised for lacking a screen display—a first for a portable computer—Spacetop still supports external displays through connection with a regular monitor, which unlocks some functions and more with future upgrades.

Wistron is assisting with the business endeavor due to its expertise in laptop production, while Nreal will produce the AR glasses, which have a 1080p resolution per eye.

Whether you're interested or your friend is  into reinventing well this is your sign to sign up for the AR laptop today and it will be delivered at your front door starting July of this year.
