The silicon-carbon battery from Honor is longer-lasting than lithium-ion.
Numerous innovations have been made in the processors, cameras, displays, charging, and other aspects of smartphones. But one of the most crucial areas that really matters—battery—seems to be getting worse more often than not.
The silicon-carbon battery was developed by HONOR as a new, first-of-its-kind remedy. This new lithium technology promises a 12.8% greater energy density compared to the existing lithium technology, which uses graphite.
Standard 5,100mAh battery size is present in the new HONOR Magic 5 Pro. It can, however, reach 5,450mAh when using silicon-carbon.
HONOR didn't give a thorough explanation of how it operates. Graphs that are relatively simple to understand were nevertheless displayed.
According to the manufacturer, the lithium battery won't have much life left once a battery drops to 3.5 volts. However, since silicon-carbon has a 240% higher capacity, it will still have more. Overall, that represents a 12.8% advancement over the state of the art. According to rumors, the Magic 5 Pro sold in China comes with a 5,450mAh battery, as opposed to the 5,100mAh battery in the international mode
