The affordable Ultimate C controller is released by 8BitDo.
If you have a tight budget but love to play games well this budget friendly controller is for you. The company called 8BitDo, which has produced various game controllers such as the SN30 Pro 2, has recently declared that it intends to launch an economical edition of the Ultimate Controller.
The new controller, which can be used either wired or wirelessly, will be priced at $29.99 (~Php1,700) and will only be compatible with a few select platforms, such as Windows, Steam Deck, Android, and Raspberry Pie.
In contrast to its pricier version that can connect to a wider range of platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, via Bluetooth, the Ultimate C 2.4G wireless controller relies on a dongle to link wirelessly to another device.
The manufacturer of the gamepad refers to its most recent offering as a "simplified" version of the Ultimate Controller—essentially a play on the controller's name for the fact that it does not include the original controller's charging dock, support for profile switching, or Ultimate Software for customizing settings.
The rest of the new Ultimate C controller would be same, according to 8BitDo, who asserts that it is "offering the same ultimate quality."
The gamepad has a 25-hour operating range and can be fully charged in only two hours. Additionally, it provides vibration feedback and asymmetrical rumble, however only on Windows.
Despite the fact that the product is advertised as "wireless," it is possible to physically connect the controller to another device and charge it at the same time by using the built-in charging port on the controller.
Aside from the Ultimate series of controllers, 8BitDo gained notoriety in the industry by creating gear that was modeled after gamepads from classic consoles like the NES and SNES.
