Tara, a ride-hailing service, has been launched as a less expensive alternative to Grab.
This will compete with the grab and other ride hailing app for sure.
Erwin Dee, Tara's founder, took to Facebook 86 to express his purpose in launching Tara, which is to fill a gap in the market by making its fee sustainable for both riders and drivers.
Tara's booking fare, according to the post, is less expensive and in conformity with the LTFRB's fare matrix, with no surcharges. It says that users can save up to $300 during rush hour and on long-distance rides.
Tara imposes 0% commission on drivers, ensuring 100% fare goes to them, and plans to allocate 80% of ad revenue towards user incentives.
Tara will work for customers through a subscription-based model, with its Basic plan costing PHP 30 and allowing them to use three tokens to make three appointments. Its Regular tier costs PHP 300 and provides 30 tokens for every 30 reservations. Its top tier is the Partner tier, which costs PHP 3,000 for 300 tokens and 300 fulfilled bookings.
The best part is that Tara imposes 0% commission on drivers, ensuring 100% fare goes to them, and plans to allocate 80% of ad revenue towards user incentives.
