Review of the M2 Pro MacBook Pro 16: Apple's New Workhorse for Creativity
I bet you need to ditch your old MacBook and buy a new one because Apple has just unveiled the new MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch models, which feature all-new, more powerful in-house processors.
Let us help you decide, the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro 2023 are available with Apple's new M2 Pro or M2 Max chips, which provide 20% and 30% faster CPU and GPU performance, respectively, than the M1.
Each chip can also be configured individually. The M2 Pro can be ordered with a 12-core CPU and a 19-core GPU. Meanwhile, the M2 Max is available with a 12-core CPU and a GPU with up to 38 cores.
They will also include new unified memory options. Memory options for the M2 Pro models include 16GB and 32GB, while the M2 Max offers 32GB, 64GB, and 96GB. Storage capacities range from 512GB to 8TB.
Despite the performance boost, the new 2023 MacBook Pros will have longer battery life. The 14-inch model can provide up to 12 hours of web browsing time, while the larger 16-inch model can provide up to 15 hours.
Both models have screens that are nearly identical. Regardless of size, they will appear equally sharp at 254ppi. True Tone and Apple's ProMotion technology, which provides an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, are also included.
The pair also uses the same 6-speaker setup with force-cancelling woofers. They also have a three-mic array capable of capturing studio-quality recordings.
Apple also enhanced the connectivity features with the newer WiFI 6E standard and the new HDMI 2.1, which supports 8K@60Hz and 4K@240Hz.
The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are now available on Apple Philippines' website. Hurry and check it out.
