Philippines pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus

Samsung recently unveiled the new Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus. You might love it or not so here we are giving you the reviews you need.

The 2023 lineup, unlike its predecessors, does not feature any significant upgrades. The only significant difference is that all units shipping worldwide will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor — no more in-house Exynos chips.

The display was also improved, but it remained similar to previous devices. They both have Dynamic AMOLED 2X screens with FHD+ pixel resolution and refresh rates ranging from 48Hz to 120Hz. The vanilla model is only 6.1 inches long, while the Plus model is 6.6 inches long.

It also includes a new feature called Vision Booster, which uses an ambient light sensor to automatically adjust the color and contrast of the screen to match your surroundings.

The screen has a punch-hole for the upgraded 12-megapixel front-facing camera, which supports Super HDR at 60 frames per second video recording.

If you turn it back we have a 50-megapixel camera that can now record 8K videos at 30 frames per second. A 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens is also included, as is a 10-megapixel sensor with 3x optical zoom.

The Camera RAW app cannot shoot images with full 50MP resolution.

One thing that we need is Samsung has also increased the battery capacity by 200mAh. The Galaxy S23 now has a 3,900mAh battery, while the Galaxy S23 Plus has a 4,700mAh battery. Both continue to support wireless charging but differ in terms of fast wired charging: 25W and 45W, respectively.

Topping it all off, both devices are the first to employ the new Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Recycled materials are also used on the screen and the back panel.

The 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants of the Samsung Galaxy S23 cost Php53,990 and Php57,990, respectively. Meanwhile, the 8GB/256GB Galaxy S23 Plus costs Php68,990 and the 8GB/512GB model costs Php76,990.
