Lexar Unveils ES3 and SL300 Portable SSDs with Up to 2TB Storage and USB 3.2 Gen 2 Speeds

Two new portable SSDs from Lexar, the ES3 and SL300, provide up to 2TB of storage and fast USB 3.2 Gen 2 data transfers.

The cost of both models is less than $200.

making them affordable choices for backups while on the road, content producers, and photographers.

The little SSDs can read and write data at up to 1,050 MB/s and 1,000 MB/s, respectively. A 2-in-1 USB-C/USB-A cable is included with every drive to ensure compatibility with the majority of machines.

In order to keep the SSDs cool during demanding workloads, Lexar has additionally incorporated double-layer graphite sheets.

While the Lexar SL300 adds an IP54 designation for water and dust protection, making it more appropriate for outdoor use, the Lexar ES3 just gives basic drop resistance (up to two meters). The performance of both drives is the same in spite of these variations.
