Lalamove uses face recognition on drivers to combat fraud problems.
Lalamove is stepping up its security game to ensure a safer and more reliable delivery experience. The platform has introduced a new mandatory facial verification process for all drivers. This stringent measure aims to combat fraudulent activity and protect both customers and legitimate drivers.
Only authorized drivers will be able to access the platform and begin taking reservations thanks to this precaution. Every partner driver is required to submit to a face recognition scan to confirm their identification. They can only begin a new shift upon verification.
Drivers must use Lalamove facial verification in addition to other monitoring tools including activity trend analysis and manual checks. Drivers whose information is inconsistent will also be routinely monitored. In order to prompt additional research, they will also be placed on a watchlist. This will lessen the possibility of abuse.
Meanwhile, anybody found guilty by these methods will be permanently barred from the platform. Lalamove's one-hit guideline is upheld. Lalamove has also teamed up with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to guarantee consumers secure and dependable deliveries.
Customers are advised to carefully double-check driver details, such as name, photo, license plate number, and vehicle information, in order to further prevent scams.
Customers can use Lalamove's in-app Live Chat to report any issues right away if something seems strange. Lalamove can then use "Find a New Driver" to transfer the order to a different rider.
