The 'Contact Posters' feature, which lets users create personalised photographs for both their contacts and themselves, is the highlight of the software update. It will show anytime a user receives an incoming call.You can personalize how people can view you and if you call via voicemail it will transcribe so you can hear and see it live at the same time.
This offers editable typography fonts and colors, similar to those featured on iOS lock screens. Third-party calling applications will also have access to Contact Posters.
The next one is somewhat people saying it is like infrared, NameDrop is a new form of AirDrop that will be available in iOS 17. NameDrop will allow iPhone users to share contact information by holding their phones together or by holding an iPhone and an Apple Watch together.
With iOS 17's new StandBy function, iPhone owners may now turn their smartphones into full-fledged smart home gadgets. When docked, an iPhone running iOS 17 now displays glanceable information like a clock, music player, or calendar.
The new version also features Live Voicemail, which provides users with real-time transcriptions when a voicemail is left; new emoji stickers and Live Stickers; and Journal app, a gratitude-focused notebook app.
The developer beta of iOS 17 is currently available for Apple Developer Program members, and the final software upgrade will be released in September 2023 for all customers with an iPhone Xs or later.
