The ability to host a Google Meet watch party session is also available to premium subscribers, but iPhone and iPad users cannot use this function until YouTube introduces SharePlay support through FaceTime.

For iOS devices running compatible YouTube videos, YouTube is introducing the 1080p Premium enhanced bitrate streaming option.

Additionally, users can now use YouTube Premium's Smart Downloads feature, which, when logged in via Wi-Fi, will automatically download suggested content based on their playback history. These new functions contribute to the value of a YouTube Premium subscription.
