Finally, you can repair your own Samsung Galaxy S22, and here's how.

If you had the ability to fix your own phone, life would be so much simpler. You don't have to go to a mall or a flagship store only to pay a repairman a significant sum of money to mend your broken phones. With that, Samsung is assisting us, and they have recently added the Samsung Galaxy S22 to it.

A number of additional devices have been added to Samsung's self-repair program, the company said(Opens in a new window). The Galaxy S22 line of smartphones, which includes the S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra, stands out as the most notable. Additionally, owners of the 15-inch Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 notebooks can currently obtain genuine repair parts from Samsung.

iFixit(Opens in a new window), a kind of central online center for both obtaining repair instructions and repair components for tech items, powers Samsung's self-repair service. Prior to this, only the Galaxy S20 and S21 series and the Galaxy Tab S7+ tablet were supported. Obviously, this made it a severely constrained service for those who prefer to fix their own technology.

It is now a little less restrictive. Owners of the Galaxy S22 may currently change the charging ports, screens, and back glass through iFixit. Customers of the Galaxy Book Pro have a little more flexibility thanks to iFixit, which offers replacement parts for the touchpad, fingerprint reader, and battery, among other parts.

For its popular Fold devices, however, Samsung still doesn't offer self-repair options, so you should probably sign up for Samsung's Care Plus subscription. We can only speculate as to how long it will take before the first new owners are able to stock up on parts, especially for anyone considering going case-less with their next phone, given the impending release of new phones.
