Filipinos with international SIM cards are now able to use GCash

Gcash is going international so if you have friends or families in Japan, Australia, and Italy call them now or message them because they can now use Gcash even without any sim. Gcash has been our go to e-wallet up here in the Philippines, we use it to pay for everything so having it expand to other countries can help our OFW families and friends.

Through their partnership with Alipay+, GCash has been able to accelerate their global expansion. Along with GCash Overseas, GCash is now also accepted at a limited number of retailers in top European travel hotspots like the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy as well as in nations like Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Qatar.

Hold up, not all can download them because Only the first 1,000 users with international SIM cards from Japan, Australia, and Italy can access GCash during the beta launch. Filipinos living abroad, regardless of their SIM card, can sign up for GCash once they have completed the verification process. The full launch is anticipated later this year.

“We continue to make a difference in Filipinos’ lives by making financial services easier and more accessible to our now 76 million-strong registered users. With around 10 million Filipinos living abroad, we want them to also be able to take advantage of GCash services even as they use international SIMs. As more people put their trust in GCash, we strive to remove more barriers and create a better experience for all,” said Martha Sazon, GCash president and CEO.
