As inflation worsens, PLDT is looking at lower internet prices.

All of us find inflation to be painful, and since PLDT is aware of how difficult it is to make ends meet and how miserable it is to pay bills, they are looking for ways to reduce the cost of their internet services.

As consumer inflation worsens and the demand for broadband packages declines, PLDT Inc. is looking into the possibility of offering less expensive internet services.

In order to meet users' demand for broadband in light of the current economic climate, PLDT is currently developing new products and services at lower prices, according to President and CEO Alfredo Panlilio.

This year, PLDT hopes to maintain its upward trend by increasing fixed-line revenue. However, because of the effects of inflation, it might experience some setbacks.

Despite the fact that there is still demand, Panlilio warned that it might not be "as huge as last year" because of "challenged wallets" among the populace. As a result, "affordability becomes an issue."

Despite the financial difficulties that consumers are experiencing, Panlilio noted that there is still a demand for connectivity services. The business is hoping to develop new products that will meet the needs and budgets of its customers.

Offering sachet-sized bundles of data connectivity for low-income market segments is one of the new products PLDT is considering.

PLDT will expand its prepaid and wireless service offerings to give users more options, mitigating the impact of a 2% drop in wireless earnings.
