All you need to know about iPadOS 17
I know you are excited as I’am and here a little spoiler before the release.
The most recent iPadOS 17 update will be revealed by Apple at their 2023 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). It will have interactive widgets, a redesigned lock screen, and better PDF compatibility.
We had an opportunity to see the new version in action in a preview that was presented during WWDC. Here, it's important to observe the more potent widget support. Both widgets on the home screen and lock screen may now be touched by users to interact with them. Prior to the upgrade, touching widgets on an iPad would only launch the main app.
To-do lists and other widgets may now be modified while still being on the same screen. Similar to the customisable lock screens used in iPhones for some time now, iPadOS 17 will also have lock screens.
The font face and color may be changed, and users can position the clock and date in front of or behind their preferred lock screen photo, much like on the iPhone version. Additionally, iPadOS 17 will offer improved PDF support, enabling users to rapidly add names, addresses, and emails from Contacts by having the iPad recognize fields in a PDF.
To make it simpler to browse through text and mark the PDF, the Notes app on the iPad will soon receive an update that will make PDFs show in full width. Along with reviewing and annotating PDFs directly in their note, users will also be able to see updates from other users who have shared the same note in real-time.
Apple Health app addition, Safari app upgrades, and audio/video messaging are all included in iPadOS 17. Members of the Apple Developer Program can access the developer beta; the public beta is scheduled to launch in July. In September 2023, the release of the iPad (6th generation and later), iPad mini, iPad Air, 12.9-inch, 10.5-inch, and 11-inch iPad Pro models is anticipated.
