A Jeepney Simulator game is being created by Filipino students.
Truck driving, driving schools, pilot simulations, and goat simulators are just a few of the popular video game genres that simulate entertaining hobbies and vocations. In Davao, two Filipino students are creating a Jeep simulator.
These two creative geniuses named Joshua Renzie A. Bicoy, the project's principal developer, and Alvin Vann V. Arapoc, a 3D artist and video editor, produced the game. The team behind the game is named Spacezero Interactive, and they are working on it in their free time.
Jeepney Simulator is based in Davao. The developers want to replicate the structures exactly, but they are constrained by copyright constraints. They therefore had to make their own.
According to the creators, they have been working on the game for three and a half months and are nearly finished with the demo.
So what will make this game interesting.
The game will involve more than just getting passengers to their destinations; it will also involve calculating rates and giving out change to customers, much like a real-life Jeepney driver would.
Developers are incorporating a 'household' system, requiring players to feed their family, purchase furniture, and upgrade Jeepneys, with plans for a story campaign.
